Stephen Bruce’s (a.k.a Infinite) Work
Software
He developed this software to generate and manipulate waveforms, converting them from number data to audio that we can hear and play as an instrument.
This software is often used by North East Style techno producers to produce varied ‘North East Bass’ sounds. |
This is a visual art meets software experiment using audio (or other wave form data like brain waves) to generate real-time animated visuals.
Digital Art
Art work created from raw wave data of North East Style song ‘Infinite - Out of Control’ click to hear song. Song & Art both created by Stephen.
Art work generated on a program relating to the history of the Cover Art for Spanish techno music - ‘Makina’ releases, that became an integral part of UK culture, stemming from imports into North East England in the 1990s.
This music caused a creative surge of DJing, MCing & eventually music production in communities of the North East (often facilitated by Ste’s music production courses, tools & software). Over time a new genre emerged called North East Style. |
